Oi dont lump me in with that ****.
But yeh There isnt many vocal lower wormholers because mainly we are in smaller groups and out of chat rooms and such most encounters with c5-c6 corps are getting in relative terms blobbed or some higher corps feeling that everyone should provide a fight regardless of the numbers for example when i was living in a c2 sky fighters came in and starting baiting (bane in his gila shooting a poco) after scouting and finding 15+ ships with logi and ewar up the chain we went in with 3-4 nano ships then bailed when the logi came on field as we coudlnt do anything. after that we were insulted in local for not being lambs to the slaughter.
This kind of encounter makes the higher class wormholers seem like douches and as the forums are mainly filled with higher class folk posting it could be why there arent as many c1-c4 folk on the forums. |

Bane Nucleus wrote:Fantastic post. I would encourage any c1-c4 wormhole dweller to share their stories. The best ones are catching the guy running c3 anoms in his Archon haha!
What about us catching a carrier sitting on a highsec -c2 hole then not having enough logi to hold it until reinforcements arrive:( |

Meytal wrote:One way to look at it is that living in a "high class" Wormhole systems is like the day-to-day inner-city grind to make your money, put in your time, have your career, etc., so you can retire and move to a comfortable suburban C2, where you don't have to worry about money or income and can socialize with (fight) everyone who comes around and actually enjoy yourself. There is also the advantage in that if you have a slow day, you can go do things on your own or in a small group, instead of needing a large group all the time.
Bane, you lived with a C2 corp. That corp is happy where they are, and undoubtedly explained this to you whenever you tried to get them to experience the "deeper life", as I've seen Nash say the same things multiple times on these forums that he has already posted in this thread. It seems that even though you lived in the C2, you never really "got it".
But you know what? That's perfectly fine! That is one of the things that makes EVE an amazing game, even when CCP doesn't fully implement features or when they rush broken or braindead features to production. There is a playstyle for just about everyone, even in W-space. You only have to find a place that makes you happy.
Maybe, just maybe, those of us in "low class" systems have found what makes us happy, and THAT is why we don't want to leave.
Funny the more ive moved up class wormhole the less ive had to PvE and the more i get to PvP. More isk/hour means less grinding more fighting.

Noooo. Make C3s that i dont want dual statics in my C4. For referance i live in a c4-c3. |

For the record, in case anyone wishes to apply thought to the "why is this C6 alliance guy trying to change C4's, what does he know about them?", I'd like to clarify that my second wormhole was a C4-C4, and I cut my teeth in C4 space. I wanted to get that out of the way :)
I like only having one static in my c4 it makes scouting and such easier. as im more likely to run into people in the c3. Basically its just realy selfish reasons :) |

I would actually like to see a LOT more wandering wormholes. Wormhole space was new and exiting even when i joined in a year ago as i didnt know all the ins and outs. Adding more wandering wormholes with different mass limitations might provide more content than just adding dual statics and it wont be as consistent. |

BayneNothos wrote: Also stepping down to a Drake or somesuch doesn't lower the main risk with running sites anywhere for small groups. The risk of getting podded. For larger groups, this isn't a big deal, it's 15mins to a couple of days in HS. There's enough actives and alts aroundt o safely get back in. For smaller groups, this can mean losing the entire POS if you're down on actives or enough of you get podded out at a time. As I mentioned in the other thread around, I'd like to see an emergency limited number way to jumpclone back in. Something that's expensive enough that you don't want it to be the main way of travelling back in, but still low enough that if the worst happens, you can get back in and fight still.
If you lose your pos you are a moron. Everyone has 3 char slots. On those character slots you can have backups most people use them for just PI but taking the extra time to train them into a basic scanning frig should be a requirement for all wormholers but there is no excuse for Ceos and Directors. You dont even need to take the time out anymore pay 600 mill and youve got 2 covops scan pilots. |
